Father Barron takes note of how aggressive today’s secularists can be. It’s another sober reminder of the intellectual cover being provided for the moral turpitude of our age. Unfortunately, Fr. Barron doesn’t offer much in the way of resistance methods, but at least he’s speaking out himself in this video.
I’d only add that we should must be sure to focus our efforts where they matter. That is, we should waste no time defending religious institutions or religious institutionalism. Rather we should stand firm for the presence of Christ in all of life. Alas, Father Barron appears unwilling to defend Christ without defending Catholicism. Let us forsake all our “isms” and defend only Christ. He is the light of the world.
