William Lane Craig: Young-Earth Creationism is an Embarrassment

The YouTube description:

William Lane Craig says it as it is by being blunt about creationism* (or young-earth creationism): it’s an embarrassment. Unfortunately, over half of evangelical pastors believe the universe is less than 10 thousand years old. Dr. Craig calls this ‘hugely embarrassing’ and ‘shocking.’

* – The term ‘creationism’ has always been used in the sense of taking the book of Genesis literally and that the universe is less than 10 thousand years old. However, many atheist-Darwinian fundamentalists have been using the term to mean anybody who holds to a belief that God created the universe (despite what they say the age of the universe is). Thus, if you believe God created the universe 14 billion years ago, you’re STILL branded a ‘creationist’!

Though the video clip is titled on YouTube as “Creationism is an Embarrassment” he is actually only speaking against “young-earth creationism” – not “creationism” per se.  He believes in “theistic evolution” (also called “evolutionary creation”).  He references Francis Collins and Bill Nye “the Science Guy” at various points in his remarks.
